Two Brothers…Carey and Tony Michael, born 27 months apart in Memphis, TN; a city rich in music history. Working class family, good up-bringing…always filled with music, from their dad’s guitar playing to his reel-to-reel tapes of 50’s and early 60’s music, to AM radio and TV.
Two Keyboards…both started piano lessons at an early age. Then came choirs, ensembles, school band, FM radio, records and tapes, and concerts. Their exposure to all music has been basically unlimited, in time (40’s and 50’s thru today) and type (country, rock, gospel, pop, classical, soul, R&B, disco…you name it).
To today…Carey and Tony have put their experience, exposure, and excitement with music in their lives into Michael & Michael. Certainly a Memphis vibe to their sound, but also a sound all their own.
